What: A big gathering of leaders in the YFC community where we all come together to worship our God.

Where: Edgewood Camp and Conference Center (49 Memorial St. Eden Mills ON, N0P 1P0)

Cost: $80.00 (IT'S A LOT BUT RLC'S ARE AAAALWAYS WORTH IT...LIKE CONFERENCE, AND LIKE YOUR FIRST CAMPS)

We hope that everyone is getting back into their groove of school life. Now that we are in the year of C4, God has blessed us with so many things in this community. Let us continue to be unifed as the final year rolls along.

Household Assemblies

Each chapter will be having their own Household Assemblies in the weekend of September 22/23rd. Please be advised for the final dates.

High School Based Picnic

The HSB program has invited all members to attend a picnic that they will be hosting.

Have some fun in the sun with our entire sector before the weather starts to get cold.

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED. DETAILS WILL BE TBA UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Campus Based GK Movie Screening

The UofT St.George Campus Based is inviting anyone who is interested in watching the GK Movie to attend a screening of the film.

July Summer Days + 2007 CFC-YFC East Canadian Conference

Hey Everyone,

We hope all of you are enjoying your summer so far. Praise God for a great start to our summer vacations!

In the month of July, YFC will be filled with fun events and bonding experiences with the chapters and cluster. Stay tuned for any events that is to come. We look forward to seeing all your faces throughout the summer.

Who: OPEN TO ALL YFC MEMBERS!
What: One big gathering of youths from all over east Canada, a three day experience of a lifetime!
When: August 17th-19th, 2007
Where: Seneca College (Newnham Campus), Scarborough ON

Cost before July 9th, 2007 - $180.00
Cost after July 9th, 2007 - $195.00

**This means, get your forms and money in to your chapter heads ASAP so that you can save money. Please note that if you only give a deposit before July 9th, you will still have to pay the remainder of the new price when you pay the rest....

After July 9th, the reserved spots for every delegation will not be reserved anymore and any chapter who doesn't meet their quota can give their spots away to other chapters. For now, reserve your spot with your chapter heads and they will handle your reservation for you.

UNOFFICIAL Chillage @ the Beach / Cluster Leaders Assembly

UNOFFICIAL YFC EVENT: Chilling at the Beach

Who: ALL OF CLUSTER 3
What: A day where we can all gather as one cluster, relax, have fun, and bond before the exams. A preview before summer…
When: Saturday, June 9th, 2007 (11:00am - 4:00pm)
Where: The Beaches (Woodbine)

Meeting Place for SNE and Markham peeps:
Meet at Scarborough Town Centre Station on the platform in between the bus level and the subway level @ 10:00AM. We will wait for everyone until 10:30AM. After that, you will have to find your own way there. If Durham people can meet up here as well, then that would be great.

Things to Bring / you can Bring:
- Summer Clothes (dress appropriately / modestly)
- Sun Glasses, Hat, Towel, Sandals, Sun Block
- Volleball, Badminton Gear, Water Guns, Water Balloons?
- Bring Extra clothes (don’t leave w/o extra underwear!)
- IPod with Speakers?
- Food: Snacks, drinks…or bring money for food (There’s a Pizza Pizza, etc…)

Directions to Woodbine Beach, by Bus / Subway:
- Take the RT from Scarborough Town Centre to Kennedy Station
- Take the Bloor Subway Line all the way to Woodbine Station. (Kennedy, Warden, Victoria Park, Main Street, Woodbine)
- Go on the main level and take the 92 Woodbine South bus all the way to the beaches.
- You will know when to stop…you might see water. LOL

Directions to Woodbine Beach by Car on the Highway:
- Go on Highway 401 West
- While on Hwy 401, exit onto the DVP going downtown (Make sure you don’t head towards New Market)
- Exit on 375 Don Mills Rd SOUTH (Merge onto Don Mills Rd.)
- Left / East on Oconnor Dr.
- Right / South on Woodbine Ave.
- Woodbine Ave. will turn into Lakeshore Blvd. From here you will see the beaches.
- Find parking. LOL

Directions to Woodbine Beach by Car by taking Side Roads:
- Keep driving south until you reach Kingston Rd. on Markham Rd./Brimley Rd./Warden Ave. (You have to be on these three streets to meet Kingston Rd. or else go on any other street and you will meet Danforth Rd. and turn left/south when you see one of these three streets until you meet Kingston Rd.)
- Go west on Kingston Rd. until you reach Woodbine Ave.
- Go South on Woodbine Ave. and it will turn into Lakeshore Blvd. From here you will see the Beaches.
- Find parking. LOL

It is on your discretion when you want to go home. Please note that we are not liable for anything that happens, hence the event being unofficial. Please make sure your parents are aware of where your going, but do not call this event a YFC event.

***Once again, we do not need to remind all the leaders that LA’s are MANDATORY and always will be. If you are a leader, you are obliged to attend these events, regardless. Please plan your weekend accordingly. Since we are letting you know waaay in advanced, it should not be a problem to plan your studying time accordingly so that you can make time for this event. We only ask you for a short amount of time to come to this event.

ATTENDANCE WILL BE TAKEN

Directions to St. Thomas the Apostle:
- Get off Warden Ave. on HWY 401, going south.
- Keep going south until you reach steeles.
- Turn right/east on Steeles.
- Turn left/north on Birchmount.
- St. Thomas the Apostle will be on your right on Highgate Dr.

**If you're not going on the HWY, just drive on any road until you meet Steeles, and head towards Birchmount and go north.

- 53 Steeles East Bus (Get off @ Birchmount Rd. and walk north until you reach Highgate Dr.)

Time: 10:00AM - 3:00pm
Where: Milliken Park (Why in the park? DID YOU LOOK OUTSIDE LATELY!!!!)

***Please note the following...
- THIS IS MANDATORY FOR ALL LEADERS, ATTENDANCE WILL BE TAKEN
- BRING COMFY CLOTHES. DON'T WEAR NEW SHOES!
- THE FOOD SITUATION WILL BE A POT LUCK (PLEASE SEE WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING BELOW)

Durham Leaders: Snacks (i.e. Chips, Donuts, Cookies, etc...) AND Cutlery, Paper plates, Cups, Napkins, etc...
SNE Leaders: Drinks (Pop, juice, water bottles?, etc...)
Markham YR: $3.00 for food EACH
HSB / Campus: $3.00 for food EACH
KFC Leaders: $3.00 for food EACH

Directions to Milliken Park

By Car (From HWY 401)
- Exit McCowan Road North
- Turn Right/East on Steeles (you will be going down McCowan for a while)
- You will see the entrance of the parking lot of the park, shortly after on your right.

By Bus (From STC Station)
- Take the 129/129A McCowan North all the way down to Steeles.
- Walk away from the gasoline stations. Make sure you're on the side where Tim Hortons is. Keep walking away from Tim Hortons until you see the entrance of the Park.

****LOOK FOR SIGNS AS TO WHERE WE WILL MEET IN THE PARK. IF ANYTHING, LOOK FOR THE BIG PLAYGROUND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARK. THIS IS WHERE WE WILL MEET FIRST.

Where: Milliken Park. Just stay after the LA and we will move somewhere quiet and with shade. (Why in the park? DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN AGAIN?!?!?!?)

***This is also mandatory for all leaders who are asked to take part in this. Please be advised that the direction of these pastorals are from the Nicolas', the Cluster CC's.

1st Cluster 3 Leaders Training

It's that time again! As our community continues to grow, new and more leaders are given the chance to grow and serve for God.

The following event is MANDATORY for all leaders in the community program of cluster 3.

Who: Durham, Scarborough North East, Markham York Region LEADERS (Community Program Only - Other program leaders will be invited by program heads if needed)
What: Leaders Training
When: Saturday, April 28th, 2007 (1:00PM - 7:30PM)
Where: St. Bernadette Catholic Church (Durham - Ajax)

Attire: Wear WHITE
Cost: $3.00 for FOOD

Direction to the Church:
- Get on the Highway 401, going east.
- Exit Westney Road, South
- Turn left (east) on Bayly
- You will see the church on your right side, after Harwood

Transportation:
If you need a ride to get to the training, please collaborate with your chapter heads to do so. Markham and SNE leaders need to set up a car pooling system to get there and back.


***FYI: Every leaders is obliged to go to this meeting. There should not be any reason for anyone to skip this training. If you are committed to serve, please make the effort to show up for the entire training.

HEART FOR THE KIDS TRAINING

Why? Because KFC is such a fun ministry to serve in and we're looking for any members in YFC who wanna help us out! Keep in mind, we're not a babysitting ministry. Instead, we simply mold and guide these kids in becoming the future leaders of YFC!
